ABOUT LOTESS
Hi! My name is Tessa Longden (she/her), and I am a 23-year-old queer female living in Naarm.
For me, gender expression has never felt simple. I know how it feels to wake up most days wishing my clothes fit me like they would a boy. I also know how it feels to chuck on a string bikini and feel hot in that too.
For a long time, this push and pull between masculine and feminine bothered me. I tried to place myself neatly into a category, but with a distinct lack of conversation surrounding androgyny, gender expression, and fluidity, this was nearly impossible.
This also meant that shopping for clothes - a process that should be validating and fun - was difficult, expensive, and frustrating. But clothing should be the least of your worries.
That is my vision for Lotess. To create clothing for all people. Clothing that allows for daily fluctuations or is a tool of assistance on the way to a more permanent change. To provide you with the power to embrace your fluidity on a day-to-day basis. The right clothes are more than just fabric to cover your skin. They have changed my life, and allow me to feel hot, confident, noticed, or not noticed.
Through fashion, I want to give you the power to present how you want to present, show what you want to show, and be who you want to be.
Welcome to Lotess!
